extended notifications and sap mail.

Apologies for the query, I should know this by now, but its late in the 
day!

I am using extended notifications to send an email to a user when they 
have a workitem that needs attention, that fine.

I also want to send an email for info only to the user. Using the send 
mail task i.e.  the senditem and taskdescription i am send ing the info 
only email. But it is being received as a sap mail, and not being sent out 
as via sapconnect. Dont want to switch on auto forwarding as that will 
send everything for the user. I only have the sap user id available, do I 
just change the Type ID i.e. recipient type?
