Unable to Execute the Workitem in Transaction SBWP

Hi Everyone,
We have a Workflow for "Trip Approval Process" in HR. When an Expense has
been posted, a mail will be sent to his/her immediate supervisor for
Approval. Now that when the supervisor goes to his Inbox and Tries to
execute the workitem, the workitem disappers.

The Task which is responsible to sent the Workitem to Approvers Inbox, has a
Expression which is target to the Agent(Supervisor ID).
We are unable to rectify what the error would be.
we even tried using the method "Select and Continue" of BOR object SELFITEM,
but in this case we couldn't find the workitem at all in the inbox.
Please Let me know what could be the issue with this.
