CATS employee time approvals

Hi All,
I need to develop a workflow for CATS employee time approval. The scenario is,  employee enters  time through CATS,  His manager should receive the approval work items and he should have approve/reject with comments feature. Is there any standard workflows that will do the job,if so where should I configure them. 
 
Any clue is appreciated.
