Background Tasks Not Executing

Hi,

I haven't seen that one before, but you might want to check the workflow
RFC destination  (WORKFLOW_LOCAL_220)
in SM59, and maybe have a look for the dreaded red X's  in SWU3 as well.

The WORKFLOW_LOCAL_* destinations can get screwed up by client copies, for
example.

Otherwise handball it to the Basis guys to have a look at!

  Hi Deepak,

  Method is synchronous only. I think there is some problem at system level
  itself as I am getting tRFC (Transactional RFC) errors.

  Any opinions on that?

  Hi,

  I am facing quite a strange problem in system. When I am trying to
  execute Background tasks either directly (test) or through workflow it is
  going into 'In Process' status & remains in the same status without
  giving any errors. I have checked in the system it is not giving any
  shortdumps either. The methods associated with the tasks are getting
  executed perfectly fine when tested through business object.

  When I have checked log of both these tasks then the only thing which I
  could find under step history tab is that there are some tRFC entries
  getting created stating that 'Error in Control Framework'.

  There are two such tasks & both are related to sending mails to external
  user ids. Interesting scenario is that similar kind of other two tasks
  are executing absolutely fine in the same system both directly & through
  workflow also.

  Any opinions related the same are highly appreciable.
