Truck load of thanks David. You are right, it was the rule issue and when we changed our agent assignment, it worked.

Once again, appreciate all your great help.

Take care

It's hard to tell from a screen shot without actually being able to log into your system and research the problem a bit more in depth. However, from the looks of it, I think that your workflow errored because the agent could not be resolved in the rule... i.e. the role resolution failed.

In your rule, there should be a check box that says "Terminate If Rule Resolution Without Result". If this is checked, then the workflow will go into error if the role resolution fails. If it's not checked and the role resolution fails, the workflow will not go into error but the workitem will either be delivered to everyone in the system or no one, depending on whether the task is general or not.

Hints:

1- look in the workflow log specifically in the step that failed. If you don't see any agents assigned there then the role resolution failed for sure.

2- test your agent assignments and rule (through transaction PFAC or OOCU_RESP) in the client where you are doing your testing. Make sure this works before moving on to testing the workflow

3- make sure that the setting of general task for the task involved is done in the client where you are doing your testing. If you did it in come other client, then you either need to do it again in the client where you are doing your testing or you need to transport (or copy through SCC1) this configuration.

Beyond this, I can't think of anything else at the moment... if you're still having trouble, send some more detailed information along and I'll see what I can figure out.

Cheers

David

Sure, you do it in the same manner as you would for a standard task (TS). Open your WS workflow through transaction PFTC. Then, go to Additional Data > Agent Assignment > Maintain.

Then select your task, click on "Attributes" and set it as general task.

Cheers

David

Hello All,

We are on SAP 4.7, using Portal 6.0 SP2 and ESS BP 50.4. We are trying to use Employment and Verification workflow (WS01000045) and W-2 (WS01000090). When I'm executing these workflow, getting an error that "You are not one of the possible agents of the task.

I've activated the TS01000076 and TS01000166 and made them as general task. We have assigned some of the users and position also in the responsibilities of rule 60100010.

So not sure what I'm missing. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks
