Approving a PCR through Email

I am trying to figure out how to approve a PCR from the Portal through an email. I've read this little piece from the documentation, but can't help but think that there is more to it than just that.

You can use your e-mail inbox for approving requests instead of the UWL. As approver,you receive an e-mail with a link to the form. To do this, call transaction SWNCONFIG(or in the SAP Customizing Implementation Guide (IMG), choose SAP NetWeaver →SAP Web Application Server → Business Management → SAP Business Workflow →Notifications → Configuration of Extended Notification): Under General Settings, enter the Web Dynpro server as the WD_HOST. For e-mail notifications, you must also call transaction SWFVISU.

Is there anything that needs to be done to the Workitem itself in order to process this? Has anyone done this and experienced any 'gotchas?' We're thinking of implementing this but want to consider the work involved.
