Hi David,

Thank you very much for writing a so complete and pedagogical statement of
the solution to this and

similar password related problems.

Thank You

Claude

Hi Claude,

did you set up the WF-BATCH user as a system user? Check transaction SU01,
in tab Logon Data. In the field "User Type" it should say "system". By
declaring it as a system user no one is able to log on with this user id
through the SAP GUI and the password expiration policies do not apply to it.

In any case, to sort out your particular problem now, you will need to
unlock the user id and you will also probably need to change the WF-BATCH
password in transaction SU01 (this only if you don't remember the original
password) and then re-configure the RFC destination through SWU3.

You may need support from your Basis team as you probably will not have
access to SU01 (specially in a Production environment).

Cheers

David

Hi,

We to had WF probles caused by change in the WF-BATCH password.

A job did not work any more and therefore WF messages begun to be severely
delayed.

Hi,

If i am not mistaking, you should never change this password... The WF_BATCH
user is a batch user only so no one can use it to logon into your system.

Can someone remind me what the issue is with channging the Wf Admin
password? I know in the past I did it and then got errors, probably to do
with the RFC destination, but I can't remember what it was. So whats the
proper procedure for changing the wf admin password to avoid any issues?

Thanks ... Andy
