Start Workflow from Action in SAP CRM

Dear all,

I know that there are a lot of smart people who receive these messages, that's
why I throw in the following question.

We are currently implementing a CRM-System (mySAP CRM 4.0).
For certain reasons we decided to kick off a workflow to handle some tasks.
One of the ways to do this is to define an action in the business transaction.
SAP has delivered the customising possibility to pick a workflow in the action
definition wizard, but only if the WF-container includes a BOR-Objecttyp that
equals the business transaction BOR-Objecttype.

Having managed all this I was surprised that the workflow was started - but
directly went into error.
Looking at the log I found out that the action definition had correctly picked
the workflow definition, but instead of instantiating the BOR-Objecttype it
created another container element called BUSINESSOBJECT of type char 255.
Within this new container object the system and client, the business
transaction BOR-Objecttype and the instance were included but without any
separation.

I am looking for a smart solution. We have created a workaround (read the new
container element and create the necessary BOR-Objecttype instance in our own
method), but I am not very happy with this.

Has anyone come to this problem before and can offer some kind of help?

Regards

Christian
