substitute from X to Y to Z

Hi Paul,

>From my understanding and experience, Z will not see X's workflow.
In the substitution process Y will have access to X's in-box and Z will
have access to Y's in-box.
The workflow are not send to the substitute but the substitute have access
to the in-box of the person/position/user that they are substituting.

WF Gurus,

A very quick question:

      If X substitutes to Y, and Y substitutes to Z, will Z see the
workitems of X?

The client is expecting this to happen, but apparently Z can only see Y's
(original) workitems.

I was unable to find this scenario in the archives, or the book.
