BADI shopping cart workflow SRM 5.0 - SC not released

Just a shot in the dark, but your comment:

makes me wonder if the who the 'real user' is ? 
  
In our SRM 5.0 system, WF-Batch is the user that executes the release in 
task
TS10007991, of the standard WS10400051.   WF-Batch, as we all know, 
should have SAP-ALL and SAP-NEW.

Of course, that is not a BAdi workflow, but hopefully this helps a little.
