Multiple versions created when Workflow template is transported

Hi Sue,
We had this problem (or something similar) before and it seemed to
be related to a security setting that was preventing the transport from
writing over the existing version. The problem went away after we had
basis open up the system a little more.

KR,
Jacob

Subject: Multiple versions created when Workflow template is transported

We are on SAP Version 4.7, SAP Basis 6.20.

We have an issue where transporting a modified workflow template to the
Quality system sometimes causes multiple versions to be created in
Runtime available, Saved status. The changes made that are being
transported are in the Runtime available, Saved versions so we are not
able to execute the workflow with the new changes. Every time you go
into the Workflow builder to look at the template in the Quality system,
the number of versions increases. I transported one today that was
Version 0001 and is now up to Version 59 in the Quality system.

This does not happen all the time -- it is sporadic -- and it does not
happen when we promote the transport to the Production system.

I have checked for any OSS notes on this issue, but have found none.

Has anyone else ever had this problem?
