Deadline monitoring issue

Hi,
     I have a workitem with a modeled requested end set to run at 7 days
after the workitem is created.  In one of my 4 workflows using this
deadline I am experiencing a bug where the modeled outcome always runs
at the instant the workitem is created.  I've tried changing the time
and reactivating and such to see if it's a random bug, but nothing seems
to fix it.  Any ideas about this one?
