EP 7.0 UWL Inquiry

Hi Jocelyn,

Sorry about the delayed response, I was out of the office so I wasn't able
to respond earlier.

It's semi-important but not that important for you to go out of your way
especially after being sick. I would greatly appreciate if you send me what
ever material you've collected. I need to demo this functionality in order
to get signoff on the delivery of approval requests to the end users. In our
case we have the possibility of creating approval requests from three
different workflow systems that would all be executed from the UWL so I'm
looking for a consistent look and feel to the whole process.

Regards,

Jerry Martinek

Hi Jerry,

I've actually been off sick the last few weeks but I'm back now.

How urgent is it? I could work on that instead of the OO series if its
really urgent.

Or at least send you a summary presentation that I did for my own benefit.

Hi Jocelyn,

I was wondering if you have an idea as to when you may be able to do a blog
on Extended Notifications.

Thanks,

Jerry

Jerry,

If you have a 6.40 system or above in your landscape then use Extended
Notifications not RSWUWFML2 - from Extended Notifications you could tailor
the notifications to be read from all affected systems.

I'm hoping to do some blogs some time on this topic but I want to finish the
OO series first.

G'day Jerry,

I can appreciate that what you're after is an UWL equivalent of RSWUWFML2.
i.e. like the UWL it would be central and only configured once rather than
in each backend system, but I don't think such functionality exists. I think
you just have to set up RSWUWFML2 in each system.

Have fun,
Mark

Hi All,

Is it possible to setup an UWL triggered email notification process if the
owner receives a workitem in their UWL? It's sort of the opposite
functionality of the UWL Alerts. The goal is to let the selected person know
that they have a waiting approval request in their UWL inbox.

I've read through the documentation on the UWL but I couldn't find anything
on this subject.

Thanks,

Jerry
