setting a deadline causes error BM026 in agent determination

WUGs,

Has anyone encountered this error before? A search of WUG, SDN and OSS has
turned up nothing. I am on Basis 6.2.

After I set a simple deadline of +2 days on a dialog step, the agent
determination for that step fails with the error BM026: "No unit with the
desired conversion factor is maintained".  Agent determination is done with
a custom function module (which resolves a security role), but it does not
try to perform any conversions, or do anything that is time-dependent.

I did some debugging, and it is choking in the function module UNIT_GET,
when it is trying to find an entry for the unit 'Decade'in table T006
(Units of Measurement)!

If I remove the deadline and run SWI1_RULE, the error disappears. If I put
it back on, it happens again.

To make it even more bizarre, I have the exact same deadline set on two
other steps in the same workflow, and they work fine.

Bizarro... any suggestions at all would be appreciated.
