Cannot Transport Workflow from ECC 5.0 to Release 4.6C

Maybe the guys at SAP can say, but it doesn't seem such a good idea to
develop on 500 system and transport to 46c system. The other way round
from 46 to 50 sounds safer. So many new things to workflow on the WAS
640 system so it looks quite risky.
Is it complicated just to transport the BOR stuff and build the tasks
and templates manually on the 46c system ?

Some additional Information:

At some templates it is not possible to display the workflow template
->  A short dump is created                                 
 "MESSAGE_TYPE_UNKNOWN"            
 "SAPLSWDE " or "LSWDEU17 "        
 "SWD_WF_DEFINITION_ERROR_NOTIFY"  

At other templates, weher I can enter the template and than want to
start the builder with the definition, I can only do this in the edit
mode. But the definition is empty. When I try to change version, I can
display the version 0 in the extra dynpro (the correct transported
version) but when I want to get the 0-version in teh edit mode, I get
the following error: Internal program error: WORKFLOW_REFRESH_TREE 0005
OFF 0005 When a function block was modified, a program error occurred
since the number of old and new subsequent nodes is not consistent. 

Release 4.6C - SAPKB46C47
Release ECC5.0 - SAPKB64016

Any hints are welcome.

Hi flowies,

I have a problem transporting a workflow, developed under ECC 5.0 on our
4.6C System. In the transport log I can see many tables which do not
exist under our 4.6C-System where workflow definition data is stored
(e.g. SWDSCONT, HRSCONT, SWDSDSTEPS,... and many more)

In the builder I get the message, that the definition in the
corresponding version does not exist, when trying to display the
definition.

Is there any way to transport a workflow from a higher release to a
lower one? (ECC 5.0 -> 4.6C? or 4.7)
