Hi Jerry,

You don't have to manually change the status. Provided you are running
the deadline job SWWWDHEX on a regular basis it will do that for you
- i.e. will change the status of any waiting work items to ready if
there requested start date/time is less than or equal to the start time
of the SWWWDHEX job.
Suspect you have not scheduled the job to run periodically.

Subject: Workitem 'Waiting' Status

Hi,

While testing the 'maternity leave' process in HR Administrator, the
application created a workitem with a past dated 'Requested Date'. The
end result of the past dated 'Requested Date' is that the system
assigned the 'Waiting' status to the workitem. The only way for the
system to actually send the item to the responsible person is to
manually change it to 'Ready'.

Is this correct or is there a problem in either the HR Administrator
application or the underlying workflow system or both? It makes sense to
set the 'Waiting' status for feature dated workitems but not past dated
ones.

 We're running on NW2004S, SP3.

Thanks,

Jerry
