Workflows to Automate the processes...!

Sharath,

One way to find out when a workflow can potentially be triggered is to turn
on the event trace log using SWELS. Next, run a transaction and see what
business object events get published. You can then activate the event from
OOCU if you want to use that workflow.

Another way to publish an event could be through the IMG such as with
purchase requisitions, which require a release strategy to be configured.

Richard.

Thanks Richard,

I found lot of inbuilt workflows OOCU.I will work on their details. I would
like to know when they will be fired...and the results of the workflows.

thanks,

Sharath

Sharanth,

Use transaction OOCU to find out-of-the-box workflow's to get some ideas.
You can look them up by application area via this transaction.

Hi Sharath:

Examples of workflows used for MM:

- Workflows to approve and release POs, Schedule Agreement, Contracts, etc.

- Workflow to park or post Incoming Invoice scanned in from IXOS.

- Workflow to process invoices parked in FI.

- Workflow to process invoices parked in MM.

- Workflows to process two-way match (invoice vs PO), three-way match
(invoice vs PO vs GR), to release quantity and price blocks.

- Workflows to approve and fulfill BSP requests to create material master
records, vendor master records, to create and post invoices for certain
vendors, etc.

- Workflow to automate processes without any user intervention, such as
creating a new delivery schedule whenever a scheduling agreement changed.

I have no experiences with workflows used in FI/CO.

Regards,

Larry Hu
