Problem solved on this one. The logon settings for the shortcut service
in SICF were missing !!

Some extra info on this......in the subscription settings if I set the
parameter SHOW_ACTION_EXECUTE_AS as ATTACH1 and not LINK2 so that the
execute work item function appears as a shortcut attachment rather than
an HTTP link then it works !! Also have to set the assigned message
template to 1 (One Message per Notification).

But when i use the LINK2 parameter in SHOW_ACTION_EXECUTE_AS and the
assigned template as N (One Message Contains Multiple Notifications)
then the URL in the mail tries to execute the work item in client 000 !!
Might be time for an OSS message me thinks.

Cheers
Dave

000

Hi folks,

I have configured SWNCONFIG and run the abap SWN_SELSEN on a 6.40 basis
support pack 13 box to send mails to people informing them they have a
work item to process.

When they select the sap shortcut link in the mail to execute the work
item they are prompted to logon, but always to client 000 not my client.

I have looked at the workflow/shortcut services in SICF and set the
logon client but to no avail. Anyone had the same problem ? Or tell me
where to look for clues ? No OSS notes were found in the making of this
issue !!

Cheers
Dave
