RE Overall release of purchase requistions with standard WF - rule error

Ronen,

How r u ?

As per your issue, I assume it is a customization issue. WS00000038 is
workflow for requisition release at item level.
The one for overall is WS20000077. Therefore, first check how MM
customization was made - you can simply create requisition and see if
the release strategy is at item or header level.

If it's item level then you chose the right workflow template. As far as
I remember, it's rule 20000026 - you can test it directly.
I'd still bet on missing customization cause I know it worked on earlier
releases.

Hi
I have created a workflow for approval which is triggered by submission
of Adobe forms through Personnel Change Request. I have done the
following configuration settings in SWFVISU transaction :

Task : TS500000075
Visualization Type : WebDynpro Java

visualization parameter: Application
visualization Value: IsrFormApprove

visualization parameter: Package
visualization Value: sap.com/pcui_gp~isr

Now the approval workitems are appearing in my UWL but when i try to
open them the following error occurs. From the error it says that
IsrFormApprove service is unavailable. Can anyone help me out on what
configuration settings have i missed out?

Thanks in Advance for any help.

Prasath N

It is strange that things works as desired in development and test
systems, but not in production. However, you should not use RSWUWFML2 in
the newest systems where you have extended notifications, so check if
transaction SWNCONFIG exists, alternatively menu path Tools; Business
Workflow; Development; Administration; Basic Settings; Notifications.

Another thing to check is if you have a workitem "on the loose" that has
been sent to everyone because it is a general task and diddn't find any
selected agents?

Hi Prasath

The following are standard workflow templates in ECC5.0 for PCR
Scenario.

50000031	ProcessPCR_2	Process Change Request (2)
50000033	ApprovePCR Approve ECR
50000041	ProcessPCR_1	Process Change Request (1)
50000042	ProcessPCR_0	Process Change Request (0)

I have however created my own using the above a basis to cater for
Multilevel approvals.

Hi All,

We are creating a PCR scenario using Adobe forms for "Employee
seperation".
This form will require 7 subsequent approvals from various agents which
is
to be handled using a workflow.

I had gone through the ISR cookbook and managed to create a scenario. I
have
also assigned it to a PDF form and a dummy workflow. Now from my PCR
iview i
am able to submit the form for my scenario which also triggers the dummy
workflow(through the BUS7051-CREATED event).

Right now i have created this dummy workflow just to send a mail(by
sendmail
step) to the first approver. Now i want this workflow to send a workitem
to
the first approver for approval of this form which will have to appear
in
his UWL. When the approver double clicks on the workitem in UWL he
should be
able to view the form along with Approve/Reject/Cancel buttons. I am not
aware how to do this. My questions are,

*Is this handled by a decision step or an activity?
If it is an activity step which Task/Business object method is used to
handle this?
If it is a decision step how do we make the Adobe form also to be
displayed
along with approve/Reject buttons?*

We are using ECC5.0 and EP6.0.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Dear Qurram,

First of all, check the extended notification feature - it's much more
impressive.
As for your issue, I hope I understood you correctly, anyhow:
1. If the problem is that the users do not receive e-mails to
MS-Outlook, check your SO16 settings (compare to DEV & QA).
2. If the problem is that the useres receive e-mails to MS-Outlook but
only one mail for all workitems in SAP-Inbox, check your settings for
running RSWUWFML2 - I assume that you created a variant for that.
(compare to DEV &QA).
3. If it's still doesn't help, compare the source of RSWUWFML2 PRD - QA.

Good luck,

Regards,
Shai Eyal

Hi all Gurus,
I have a major issue:
I have a workflow of travel managment running with backgound job
RSWUWFML2 for every five minute interval values are "one message per
workitem". In DEV and even in QAS this is running very well as we
desired.
But in Production this is not running as we desired, this program
producing e-mail (outlook)to every Approvers e-mail address even the
approvers not recieveing the workitems, as in DEV and in QAS this
program (running fine)notifying the Approver when the workitem recieves
in SAP inbox one e-mail (in outlook) per approver as and when they
recieve work item. Is that I am doing anything wrong and also I tried
giving different values to this program. I hope there is a solution for
this around, if you have any better method to solve this would be
appreciated much.
Many Thanks,
My Best Regards,
Qurram

Hello All,

On an ECC 5.00 system the following error occurs:

We want to use the standard WS00000038 for overall release of the req.
When customizing the release strategy in SPRO we mark the release groups
relevant for WF with "1" and in the WF configuration enter the release
code+group+agent BUT without a plant. (The plant field is left blank)

However once the wf is started it goes into error status due to rule
resolution problem.

I remember that there was an SAP note about this but can't seem to find
it in sapnet.

Any clues ?

Thank you very much for your help,

Ronen

Hi all,

I'm using SYSTEM.GENERICINSTANTIATE frequently and sometimes the key
simply doesn't exist. In such cases, the workflow stops on error. I know
it is possible to check the key existence before the task of
SYSTEM.GENERICINSTANTIATE, however I wandered if there's general
solution instead of specific checks.

Any ideas will be useful.

Shai Eyal
