ones on UWL config.
And if you figure out something new, why not write a blog of your own?

Hi, can anyone help with that?

Help says that workitem id is passed somewhere, but that's as far as it
goes. Does anyone know what is exact parameter name and how to grab it
in an IAC iview?

thanks,
Serge

Hi Sergey,

The Workitem ID should be automatically passed with the iView
visualisation type, I think it is in and element called WI_ID.

A few things to check:
- Your UWL task mapping is correctly generated from your SWFVISU
settings
- Your version of the UWL is nice and up to date - maybe check OSS for
your release?

If you look around in service.sap.com you might find the UWL cookbook or
'How to Guide' which gives more information.

Regards,

Mark

Subject: WI processing with UWL iView action handler

Hi guys,

does anyone know how to retrieve the workitem id when it's executed in
UWL via the iView action handler (configured in SWFVISU)?

a little background:
i have configured a visualization type iView (there are good reasons why
i can't use webdynpro) for my task in SWFVISU. The only parameter i was
able to specify was the iview name. I've re-registered item types and
it's all working as expected - iview is started when i execute the task
from UWL.
What i cannot figure out is how to retrieve the workitem id (or anything
at all to link me back to the calling workflow) in the iview application
that is started.

Thanks a lot for any suggestions,
Serge
