Exchanging information between a method and an attribute

I have just completed one workflow in which I am exchanging office
document through method and e-mail. My requirement is, if approver
rejects a request then I need to send reasons of rejection back to
initiator. I am using one Activity step in which I am calling
SOFM-CREATE method. When approver saves the rejection reasons I am
passing these reason through Workflow container elements and through
binding in e-mail step.

I developed a method to do some updates to SAP HR PD information (via
bapis). I would like to use this information in an e-mail step after
everything went fine. 
 
Can I exchange information between my method and the e-mail via
attributes? I do have fields and tables to exchange. 
 
Perhaps any of you has done that before.
 
Any hint would be appreciated.
