UWL Issues

Paul,
1) Please please please quit using RSWUWFML - use RSWUWFML2 - this copes
with long URLS much better

Javascript access denied errors is most probably an indication that you
don't have your URL link correct yet
 - you need to give the portal navigation path/pcd role etc. - talk to
your portal admin

Whether the UWL executes in the current pane or a new window is
controlled through Portal Content Directory (PCD)
configuration - check your settings there.

2) Use the Back link above the work item, or open in workitem in a
separate window and users can just close the window.

3) Yes it does but periodically not immediately, and on user request
(refresh button) - rememeber your UWL list is a poll of multiple systems
R/3, Alert Mgt System, Guided Procedures, KM notifications, non-SAP
(watch this space...) - so to refresh immediately for all users could
potentially be a performance issue.
Check your default refresh time settings - in the XML config file I
believe but check it, global I think is in the PCD again.
Possibly also in the user personalize view from memory? Check it.

4) Portal generally recommends not using back button - I think you can
protect it - talk to your portal admin

Check your EP 6.0 SP levels are up-to-date - best to at least be on SP12
if you can.

Subject: UWL Issues

I know I'm going over old ground but I have a couple of the usual UWL
related
issues and was hoping that solutions have been found, other than
training.

1) I am using RSWUWFML with a standard text to <a href> to the UWL. It
doesn't work too badly on load, but then there are an awful lot of
javascript
access denied errors. Workitems executed also fill up the entire window

instead of staying in the UWL pane.

2) After workitem execution the browser does not return to the UWL.
I've tried
an ~exiturl pointing to a redirect webpage back to the UWL but this
again has
lots of javascript access denied problems.

3) The UWL does not automatically refresh

4) A user hitting the browser back button locks the workitem and
requires a
quick SM12.

My client is using EP 6.0 SP14.
