That's the one I was referring to, thanks! Noted for next edition of the
FAQ.... (slightly overdue, I blame my clients). Watch this space.

Cheers
Mike

Repeat. Repeat... Do not forget.. SWN_ADMIN, SWN_CONFIG transactions
supercede RSWUWFML2 in SAP NetWeaver 6.40 and above platforms

Sue - can we make sure that's in the WUG FAQ please ?

Hi Bala,
SAP MAPI is dead. Repeat, MAPI is dead. Think dodo. Do not use it. It only
still works because it once seemed a good idea (but it wasn't) and a few
folks still rely on it.
Have a look at report RSWUWFML2 for ways to send an execuable attachment to
log on to your SAP inbox from outlook. There's even a customising
transaction for it in 6.40+.

Cheers

(PS. my replies can currently take up to half a day to reach the list, so
apologies if I may be repeating what someone may have posted in the
meantime)

Hi All,
I tried to install based on the SAP MAPI from the below said URL Link. I am
not able to find the Desktop Interfaces in the CD, as mentioned in the
instruction. Please suggest, is there any other way to install SAP MAPI.

Also, I need your expert advice, how we can execute a work item from the
Outlook or any other third party mail server. Do we need to use SAP Forms
for the same? Please advice.

The SAP setup program can be found on the SAP Presentation CD-ROM under
GUI\WINDOWS\WIN32.

Procedure

1.	Execute the SAPsetup program.

2.	In setup, only choose Desktop Interfaces. From this choose the SAP
MAPI Service Provider again (select Change Options to display the
selection).

Result

SAP MAPI is installed. Create your logon profile.

Thanks

Bala
