Hi Margaret,

A while ago I was trying to do the opposite - take an attachment made in workflow and attach it to the object, to be visible in GOS.

It is possible to do what you want. The GOS object ids are stored in table SRGBTBREL. You can get the attachment id and instantiate an SOFM object and bind it to the workflow/task. I am not sure about 4.6C but there may be some APIs that could be used to get the attachment list.

Ramki Maley.

Larry,

Thanks for your response. A better description of my potential requirement: I

have an object to which someone as attached a document via GOS, from the object

maintenance screen (i.e. not in workflow at the time). Later an event on that

object triggers a workflow. Is there any way to make any GOS attachments pass to

the workflow so that they can be listed on the work item?

However, it looks like this question is going to become academic, because we are

now leaning toward using DMS records for the documents. Still, it would be

interesting to know if this is possible.

Thanks,

Margaret
