If there are events created when the release or rejection takes place you
can create a simple solution taking advantage of workflow events. Create a
function module which creates the mail and sends it, using the same
interface as function module SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT.

In your function you will have information about the object (PO and the
event creator) - so you will have to look up the creator in order to know
who to send e-mail to.

We have done something similar (not sending e-mail, but the feature we use
is the same), and the event linkage is
Object type = BUS2012
Event = Changed
Receiver type = Submit_report (you can put anything you want in here - so
you could call it e.g. Send_email or Notify_creator)
Receiver FM = Z_<you don't really neeed to know>


Another option - if you use workflows for approval - is to implement a 
send
mail step in the workflow.

Dear  Work Flow Gurus,
What Customization to be done for getting an  information in the SAP Inbox
of the  creator(who raises the PR)  of say  Purchase Requistion  once his
approver either Releases or Rejects the Purchase Requisition.

Can anyone guide  me pls.
