workflow decision task problem

Hi All
 
I'm using the Generic decision task TS00008267 in my custom workflow and i have defined Approve and Reject as the outcome. When the workitem for the decision task is executed from the inbox of SAP the buttons Approve, Reject and Cancle appear in the screen, but when I click on any of these buttons nothing happens. The workitem is still in IN PROCESS status and the workitem does not complete. I tried searching for OSS for this specific scenario but could not find one. Also i tried executing the demo workflow for the decision task and its the same situation. So this is a generic problem for all the workflows that using DECISION object and PROCESS method. I have not changed any binding or any thing with the standard task. Please let me know if this is something to do with workflow config or basis config. The workflow config SWU3 is perfect with all green even on "classify decision task as general".
