Try function module SAP_WAPI_GET_HEADER or you can look at table SWWWIHEAD.
You could also look for another module starting with SAP_WAPI.

When I have the WorkItem ID of a WF how can I determine when the Workflow
has been launched.
There must be a standard function telling me that but I cannot lay a hand on
it
