DMS workflow

Hello WF Developers,

I am developing a WF using Document Management System DMS. I'm using BADI
"DOCUMENT_MAIN01" and I need to be able to view the characteristic values
entered on the Addit. data tab before the save commit during the creation
and changes of a DIR. These values are user input SAP IDs and must be
validated before the WF is started. The program name is SAPLCTMS or function
group CTMS, but tables are not available in the before save method, hence I
need a function module to pull the values from the buffer...at least I think
that's the only way I need to get them...but I can't find such a thing. Has
anyone had similar requirements and if so how did you meet those needs?
