Hi Carmen,

 

primary it does not depend on the filetype.

It depends how you have stored the Document. Is it a ArchiveLink Document or
is it a Attachment added with GOS-Funktionality ? Than it is a SAP-Office
Attachment of BO-Type SOFM.

Thanks for the reply Heinz, 

The issue we are facing in this case is that our documents are not 
scanned. Is it possible to instantiate the object IMAGE with a simple 
word document instead? If so how? 

Appreciate any further suggestions.

you can Use Object IMAGE for ArchiveLink-Docuements. The 
connection-information you find in table TOAx (defined in transaction 
OAC3). 

f.m. ARCHIV_CONNECTINFO_GET_META delivers all necessary connet-infos.

Just wondering if anyone could help with the following query? 

How do I retrieve a Word document stored in the Business Document System 
(transaction OAOR) and create it as an attachment in a workflow?
