Parked Document Workflow

Hello Michelle,

The first I would like to ask is why don't they only use the transactions
that allow parking invoices?
Parking documents is a good idea for approving entries although you have to
make sure that this will be accept buy you business people, specially
accounting/financial people and the audit company. In some countries parking
accounting document it is not totally legal or you have to make sure that
certain conditions are met (ex: accounting documents have to be created in
the IT system in the same order has they physically arrived at the company,
deleting parked documents creates gaps in the documents numbering).
A parked document is not an official accounting document.
Did you think about using payment blocks, it would be easier to implement in
the user-exits (maybe it is even feasible with only customisation).

Cheers.

Subject: Parked Document Workflow

Hello all,

I have a business requirement that all journal entries are subject to
pre-approval.

I plan on using the parked document workflow as a basis. My problem is,
some of the transactions that they wish to trigger the workflow do not have
the option to park the document. For example: FBS1, FB01, FBB1.

Is there a way to park the document using an user exit or the like for these

transactions even if the transactions themseleves do not offer the ability
to park?

My client is on Enterprise.

Thank you in advance for and advice,
Michelle
