Ok - with EBP 3.5 you don't have the BADI approval version or the BADIs
for limiting who you can change your approval agent to, so that limits
your options considerably.

However if you just want to get the standard one-step approval working
....

To use the "add approver" option you need to make the shopping cart
creator a possible agent of the one-step approval WORKFLOW (not the
approval task itself).  Easiest option is to set the possible agent
assignment of the workflow to "general task" in this case.  You can do
this in PFTC or SWDD or you can do it in the workflow task assignment
area in the IMG (transaction SPRO)- just make sure you do it at the
workflow level, not at the individual task level.  A good idea to run
SWU_OBUF to refresh the buffers before you test it.

Please be more explicit:
Which release?
Which type of document? Shopping cart, purchase order, bid invitation,
etc.?
Which standard workflows are you using?
Are you talking about approvers determined automatically for you or
approvers added using the "add approver" function.  

The SAP Library help explains the standard approval workflow options for
the various documents, and also the BADIs available for tailoring the
agents/workflow options using custom business rules.

A name would be good too.
