Work Flow - table Updation - Roll back Problem

Of course we can (try to) help, but what is your problem?
 
Do you
1) want the workflow to stop when the rollback occurs?
2) want to prevent the rollback from occurring?
3) want to prevent the workflow from entering an error state after the
rollback occurs?
 
In addition it would help if you told a little more about the code
behind the step which ends with a rollback, and perhaps you can find out
something more about the problem yourself if you study the short dump
(assuming a short dump occurred) from when the step failed.
 
Any additional relevant information is always nice, e.g. whether those
"first few steps" update the same records that your erroneous step tries
to update.
 
The best of all is that sometimes, while trying to provide information
for your message, you suddenly discover what the problem is.

Hello All,
 
We are facing a problem  where a work flow is ending in an error saying
the roll back has occured in a step in ehich  a data base table is being
updated ( attached screen shot) .
 
The work flow didnt stop at the table updation step, but executed the
consequent steps and then entering into erron state.
 
In addition the work flow didnt stop when the same table is updated in
the first few steps of the same work flow.
 
we are 4.6c.
 
Could you please help me to solve this.
