Thanks but we're only in 4.6c... Any other ideas?

FYI folks.
If you have a 6.40 (ABAP based) system (such as ERP 2004 or SRM 4.0 or .... etc.) then use transaction SWNCONFIG instead of RSWUWFML2 (I hope no-one is implementing RSWUWFML on new projects anymore).
Many many many many many more options ... be amazed.
Regards,
Jocelyn

I don't disagree with Mark's conclusion, but assuming you have decided that Wheel version 2.0 needs to be invented, then I assume you have already solved the problem of creating a screen-shot. Actually, to make it simpler I will assume you meant ordinary list output.
Anyway, I'd create myself a nice little report which, given a user sets up a job to run your report. There are various functions to set up jobs. Then you read the spool list, perhaps you have to re-format it, create an attachment, and use the SO_SEND* function to send the e-mail to the user's e-mail address and address type U. Lots of fun ahead of you. You can steal some ideas from RSWUWFML2 and RSWUWFML - among other things for creating attachments and sending e-mail to external addresses.

Hi Laura,
You are re-inventing the wheel there.
Use report RSWUWFML2. This will either generate a collective mail item for all items or an individual mail for each item.

Hi All!
This may not be all WF related but we are trying to have the Approvers of Purchase requisitions know that they have a work item in their inbox awaiting for them to be approved. We try to accomplish this by sending a screen-shot of a customized report that lists some header data and the line items description and amount.
So these are my specific questions:
1. Do you know of a way to submit a report and attach the output to an email message? (We want them to see the Purchase requisition screen-shot). 2. What function(s), method(s) send the message directly to Outlook. (Avoiding using So36 to turn automatic forwarding on).
We need to do it by document not by item, this is the reason we don't set a send mail step in the WF.
Any information/ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
