The workitem short text table is HRS1206.
The long text table is HRS1002.
The task description name table is HRS1000.

The question was not off-topic, not at all. But the reply was way off.
Unfortunately I had and have no idea what may cause the problem.
I'm assuming that you have checked that neither the task description _nor_
the work item text has a translation. The work item texts are stored in a
table which I can't remember the name of, but it is also possible to log
in
in French and use PFTC_DIS to have a look.

You will have to explain why my question is off-topic?

It's that revenge for WW II thing again ;-)
In case there are any young readers here who did not pay attention in
history lessons, WW II was not a predecessor to WWW.
Look it up on the internet to find out more:

Hi All,
I have a funny thing happening? I have a step that sends an e-mail using
SELFITEM SENDTASKDESCRIPTION... The task description does not contain any
text symbols? The only thing is that I only have an English description?
When ever the user is logged in French and start the workflow, I get the
error: «error replacing symbols in text». I thought that the system would
take the English version or nothing but not an error?!?!?!
Does any one have an idea?
Thanks,
Serge Boulay
