AW: RSWUWFML2 and substitutes

I am not 100% sure, but this is how I have understood it:
The substitutes are found from the work item agents. Therefore your
substitutions must be on the same "level" as your agents, e.g.
position-based substitutes for when agents are of type position.

I have looked at the code, because we modified it. The substitutes code is
in form send_wi_mails and form update_substitutions.

PS: This modification is an improvement from before when we had a program
which was a modified copy of RSWUWFML. Now we get the improvements which
are included in the support packages.

Hi Serge,

protocol shows me, that the original agent received his mail.
Can it be, that I get these problems due to the way I assgned the
users to the tasks?
We´ve created orgunits and assigned users to the units,
these orgunits are used within the WF-steps.

We are not using the possibility of profiles.

I´ll try debugging.

thanx

Ute.

When you are defining your substitution, you see a field for assigning a
profile. This is only valid if you are using the task class assignment for
all of your tasks (this is available through PFTC after selecting a task,
menu Additional Data-> Classification). This assignment gives you the
possibility to create different substitutes for different tasks...

Did you look at the program log to see if there were any problems? Did the
original agent receive the e-mail also? If not look at transaction SCOT to
see if the e-mail was generated but not sent... If everything is ok for the
original recipient than try to run the program in debug, it is very easy to
follow (search for substitu).

Regards,

Serge

Hi Serge,

the substitution is active, yes.
What do you mean by correct profile?
Have I missed an option?

Thanx

Ute

Hi,

Is it an active substitution and with the correct profile? Because the
program looks at these fields when sending notification to substitutes.

Serge

Herllo everybody,

I´m quite sure that this question has been asked before, however I´m unable
to find the answer in the archives.

We are on 4.7, WAS 620.

We use Report RSWUWFML2 to inform our users (for specific Tasks), that they
have new worktiems.
If one of our users is on vacation and has set a substitute, the substitute
sees the workitems of his co-worker in
his business workplace. However he does not receive a notification via
email, even though his Emailadress is mantained.

What have I missed? Or do I misunderstand the documentation?

Is there another table than HRUS_D2 for substitution?

Help highly appreciated.

Thanx

> Ute
