Check FM Exception

Richard,
I realised that the check FM exceptions raised, whilst the error
description had no resemblance to why the exception occurred, the
exception was correctly occuring.
For example the workflow should only start when a Business Partner
exists in a certain Z table.
The check FM, checks to see if this BP exists, if it doesn't, an
exception occurs. If it doesn't exist BP_DOES_NOT_EXIST is raised within
the check FM.
It's just that the error message in SWEL is rather strange.

When the BP does exist, no exception occurs in SWL and the workflow
tiggers.

When I said it didn't happen in PRD, that's because the event log is
switched off in PRD. Doh!

Rgds
David

Apologies, I have resolved this.

Subject: Check FM Exception

Hi All,
I have a custom workflow in our CRM system that works in PRD but in our
DEV and QA systems is now throwing an exception at the function module
check.

Nothing has been changed with this workflow for a long time but in SWEL
the error message says:
"Error in change document creation/analysis: NO_POSITION_INSERTED"
Unfortunately there is no long text for this message.

I have debugged the check FM but it works OK when I debug it.

Has anyone seen this before and know what the cause/solution is?

Many Thanks
David
