turn on/off oulook mail

Hi all,

An outlook email, attached to workflow as notification
can be turn on/off by a user.
Currently I am using a rule in Activity Notification
to send an outlook mail.

Can you suggest me any solution.

I have an Idea of deleting user’s LAN id from his user
profile when he chooses ‘off’ and put it back when he
chooses ‘ON’. This needs a dialog program to enter his
lan-id.

I think this is not a great idea. do you have any..?
