Object requested is currently locked by user WF-BATCH-questions 4.6c

Nope! No messages sent.

I have auto forward from WF-BATCH to me and am the assigned WF admin.
I see all the other error messages but nothing about these stuck tasks
issue.
I will be monitoring. If I get a stuck inprocess issue again I will
have to dig a tad deeper.

Bugs me that no messages were sent for this stuck inprocess issue.
Anyone know of any OSS notes?

Hi Mike,

You are right. it should. But I was on a project in the UK which was
using 4.6C and I recall many instances where that simply did not
happen.
I never did get to the bottom of it....

Hi Rick,
It should. Any BG step in status READY for more than 10 min or STARTED
for
more than 20 min gets a message "Work Item 1234 is in status STARTED.
Please initiate corrective action.. blah blah waffle.." sent to the WF
admin. (From memory, but something similar).
Cheers
Mike
