Recipe Mgmt:Site recipe approval workflow triggering

I'd appreciate any advice on how to trigger the workflow for site recipe
approval.
 
The workflow should start when the recipe status is set to processing
closed.  
 
We are implementing Recipe Management on ERP 2004.
