workflow administration

hi all 

i need to work as a administrator of worflow's  so can anyone please help me with the functions of workflow administrator and the possible authorizations that i should have as a workflow administrator.
if possible can any one send me a documentation of roles of workflow administrator it will be very help.

any information related to workflow administration will be helpful
