Clearing documents from inbox?

I have created one leave cancellation workflow  which will first check
whether the same leave had been approved or not..So I  used a condition
"cancellation type(storntype) = 'A'"...Can anybody help me out  how can I
get this "cancellation type" from leave request workflow.the person  who
will be making the leave request workflow will set "cancellation type =
'A'"  when the leave will be approved..How can I get the value of
cancellation type  and check it in my workflow??


If i'm not clear in my requirement please let me  know I can write this in
more clarity..
