Margaret,
Have you placed your query in OSS as well? You should get an official answer on the functionality you require.
Regards,
Jocelyn.

Subject: Visibility of Start Form Attachment

Hi,

We are on 6.20. We are creating a workflow that uses a start form. We have a step where it is imperative that the user reads any attachment made to the form before completing their section of the form (which has required fields). We also would prefer to have the user at this step notified of their work items in Outlook, so we have tested using RSWUWFML2. Here are my questions and issues - any help anyone can give, is greatly appreciated!

1. Using RSWUWFML2: Is it possible to have the attachment also show as an attachment in the Outlook email? Currently the workflow tests for an attachment, and if there is one (or more), we append a notice to the work item text that the user must view the attachment in their SAP Inbox. It would be better if we could have the attachment available in the Outlook email.
2. Using the Workplace Inbox: When the user double-clicks the work item in the Inbox, the form is displayed. There is no indication (on that screen) that there is an attachment; if the user clicks on the "Workflow Toolbox" tab, they receive an error message to fill in all required fields. But they should not fill in those fields until they read the attachment, which they may not even realize exists, if they didn't notice the icon in the Inbox. So, is it possible either to a) configure the behavior of the Inbox to display the work item rather than the form (preferably configurable by task, since we don't always want this behavior); or b) instead of displaying the form screen, display the "Workflow Toolbox" screen? (again, we only want this behavior for certain tasks). Or, any other suggestions? [ I realize "user training" is always an option, but I'd rather not have to rely on it! ]

Thanks,
