Badi for BBP/EBP approval preview and change users ?

Sorry but I think you have your EBP version numbers confused.
 
To clarify:
 
EBP 4.0 is part of SRM 3.0
EBP 5.0 is part of SRM 4.0
 
It's SRM 4.0 (i.e. EBP 5.0) that has the BADIs you mention.
So you don't have access to those until you upgrade.
 
I do have a project solution (created a custom BADI and the mods to call it) if
you are interested - but I'm inclined to say wait until SRM 4.0 if you can.

Hi Jerry, on each of the approval steps using the adhoc functionality you
can add and change approvers. From the task agent assignment I am thinking.
We need to restrict that by only selecting those users that meet the
spending limits. Was hoping the badi would do this.
 
We are going to test the following to see if this weeks: Make the approval
tasks a 'General Task' and then redefine the 'Create' method of the AAGENTS
object via a subtype to see if that is picked up at the step level. We'll
see.

Which 'Approval Preview' workflow functionality are you referring to?
 
We've just implemented WS14000133 (EBP 4.0) and the functionality you're
looking for isn't available until EBP 5.0.

This one is for the EBP workflow folks. In the online help for SRM EBP 4.0
SP2 it states there is a badi for business workflow called 'Select Users
when Creating/Changing Approvers'. The client that I am at is on SRM EBP
4.00 Level 0006 SAPKU40006 and wants to restrict the users to a certain
criteria when using the pull down menu when changing users and adding
approvers from the workflow applet functionality. I am assuming that those
users that are defined as possible agents for the task are those shown in
the pull down...but we require more logic than that.....hence the badi. Does
anyone know if the above badi exists and if so what its called  ?! Cheers
