BSEG.CLEARED event not generated

Dear WUG,
 
I have created a workflow that contains a wait for the event
BSEG.CLEARED.  However, when I clear a A/R open item the event
BSEG.CLEARED is not being generated.   Is there something I am
missing?  Is there some config/switch somewhere that is in need of
being set?
 
Any advice or assistance is greatly appreciated.
