Mail notifications from SAP to Outlook

You probably want a job to review inboxes and send out updates to the =
users who have new items.=20
 
We decided to run a job informing all our users of all their outstanding =
workitems two times a week; providing them with a list of all the =
outstanding activities and some other info.
 
Advantages:
1. Easier set up of your workflows
2. Relatively limited volumes of emails as you are grouping all =
workitems and reminders for one agent in one mail=20
3. You can include a URL directly to the workitem if you are using the =
workplace miniapp (and preferably SSO)
4. As all workitems are included for every user in every email you don't =
have to bother with deadline processing and reminders (in most cases).
5. You can schedule the processing at a relatively quiet period
 
Disadvantage obviously is that it is not real time, if you have =
processes which need to be completed quickly you have to build in and =
maintain all the reminder emails individually in every mail...

Hi all,

is there a way to send an e-mail from SAP to Outlook everytime a
workitem is sent to a user's Business workplace WITHOUT building in the
send mail step in each workflow - some or other higher level mechanism
outside the actual workflow or task?
