User Decision secondary method not working after cancel

Hi All,
 
I have a user decision step in my workflow with a secondary method to display the trip. If the user decision is cancelled the workitem stays in the inbox. But next time when the workitem is executed by the user the secondary methods does not work (does not display the trip) but instead user decisions are listed for execution. Any idea how to execute the secondary method again after cancel.
