SAP_WAPI_COUNT_WORKITEMS result.

It can't be just that (I think) - because we don't use deadline
notifications and have seen the same thing. If I recall correctly our best
guess was that the function returns the sum of workitems with you as a
specified agent and with no specified agent (e.g. available to all), even
if those without agents were also having no possible agents (e.g. not
visible to anyone).

E.g. in our quality system I have 2 quality notifications in my inbox.

There are four entries in SWWUSERWI on my user ID. The two which are not in
my inbox are work items which I have forwarded (in 2002...).
There are 27 entries with no user ID in SWWUSERWI.

The function returns ... to my surprise ... 2!

The two entries on my user which are not appearing in my inbox and all the
entries with no user ID have the indicator NO_SEL set (no relevance for
selection). That is probably why they are not included.

I tried replacing one of the workitems without user ID. The NO_SEL
indicator was cleared. The function then returns 3, but there are also 3
work items visible in my inbox now.

Data are too good in our test system. Now in the development system... the
function returns 40 and my inbox shows 31 (while SWI5 shows 35...). The
function matches the number of entries in SWWUSERWI with either my user or
no user and with NO_SEL = space.

The 5 entries not displayed in SWI5 are all general tasks. I don't know the
significance of it, but they all have agents and are waiting for completion
either by user confirmation or by an event.

Don't know if this makes you any wiser, but it could at least give you some
ideas about where to look. At least I got a little bit wiser, by
discovering the significance of the NO_SEL flag.

Bijay,

Are you using Deadline Monitoring in the WF's? If so I believe the
big difference in SWWUSERWI is it includes all the DM Message Items
that go to the User. Tranx: SBWP & SWI5 should match up. And the FM's
RH_WI_PER_USER_COUNT & SAP_WAPI_COUNT_WORKITEMS should match up.
