Communicating Between Two Different Systems

G'day Michael,

The most straight forward way in terms of development is simply to use RFC
calls between the systems. Typically you call a function to raise an
event in the foreign system to control the proceedings.

e.g.
CALL FUNCTION 'SWE_EVENT_CREATE' DESTINATION RFCDEST
  EXPORTING......

where RFCDEST is a variable containing your RFC Destination for the other
system.

You can also use XML transfers, but I'll leave it to someone else to
provide those kinds of insights....

Have fun,
Mark

Subject: Communicating Between Two Different Systems

Hello WF'ers,

We are currently on SAP Release 4.5B and have the HR module
installed.
We have about six work flows that utilize the BUS1065 business object. The
business is putting together a proposal to upgrade the HR module to SAP
Release 4.7 (Enterprise). If the business does upgrade the HR module only
we
need to know how we can communicate between two different versions of SAP.
Has anyone had any experience with work flow in communicating with
different
SAP systems? Any help will be helpful.
