Jerry,
Just ask whoever sent you the program in SAP again for the rest of the info.

Hi John,

Thank you for your help.

The challenging part for us is that when we received the revised version of
the RSWUWFML program from SAP, all we got was a text file for the program
source. We didn't get anything for the selection/parameter text definitions.
We also didn't get the program documentation so getting the advanced
features of this program to work will probably be trial and error and ask
questions.

Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Jerry,

Getting a shortcut is done by setting a parameter in the selection screen
when you run the program. If you put a checkmark in the Workflow Entry
option under "Add Executable Attachment for E-Mail" section, the program
will include a link to the Workflow Inbox. If you change the "Send
Granularity" from "Collective Mail" to "One mail per work item" then you can
choose shortcuts for "Work Item Display" or "Work Item Execution" also.

The shortcuts work in our system (using single-sign on and SAP logon
tickets) if there is a logon ticket available, but they fail if a logon
ticket is not present. I added a URL in the text (via SE61) to provide a
link to our mySAP Workplace for those situations.

Hi John,

I figured out the cause of the last problem now on to the next one.

In the OSS note it talks about being able to create shortcuts to the SAP GUI
for Windows to execute the sent workitems. Did you manage to setup this
functionality? If yes, how? When we received our revised version of the
RSWUWFML program we didn't receive any instructions on how to set this up.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Jerry,

You might want to check the log using SLG1, object WF, sub-object
NOTIFICATIONS, to verify that the dialog text object you created is actually
being used in ZRSWUWFML. The new program does a really nice job of logging
all the parameters used for each run.

If ZSWU_NOTIF_INBOX is being used, then ensure it is a dialog text object,
since SE61 can be used to create other types of text objects too.

The only problems I have run into with the new RSWUWFML program are with
extra line breaks being inserted into the text. It seems to add a line
break around 256 characters, which just happens to be in the middle of the
URL I added to our text. :(

Hi John,

Hi John,

Thank you for the reply. I created a ZSWU_NOTIF_INBOX object via SE61, it
exists because I can display it and etc but when I run the ZRSWUWFML or
function module SWF_DOCUMENTATION_CHECK it says it doesn't so the process
fails.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jerry

The text object contains the text that will be used in the notification
message. It is maintained via transaction SE61, and is a dialog text. You
can change it as you see fit for your environment.

The standard text object from SAP is named "SWU_NOTIF_INBOX" for the message
to be used for a single notification regardless of the number of work items,
and "SWU_NOTIF_INBOX2" is used for individual notifications.

Hi,

I'm testing the new version of program RSWUWFML (OSS 637397) and I'd like to
know if anyone else ran into the following error "OBJECT SWU_WFML_INBOX in
language EN doesn't exist'.

The new version of the program is trying to validate the existance of some
SAP text/documentation via SWF_DOCUMENTATION_CHECK.

I can see why it's doing it but I can't figure out how to correct the
problem. What's supposed to be contained in this text/documentation object
and how do I go about correcting so I can continue with the testing?

Thanks,
Jerry Martinek
