Requisition workflow triggered MRP run

I am trying to trigger a Purchase Requisition release workflow from an MRP
run. There don't seem to be any events triggered, nor change documents
created when the run occurs. This seems to be a recurring theme in the
archives, but there don't seem to be any solid answers.

I am working on 4.6C. Also, our configurers are not prepared to go the whole
Reservation - Planned Order - Requisition route.=20

The techie solution seems to be to create a report that will be started
after an MRP run, which just finds the Requisitions that are subject to a
release strategy and don't have a related workflow, and raising a
RELEASESTEPCREATED event for them. Does anyone know whether a more elegant
solution exists?

In 2002, Enrique Arregu=EDn Ram=EDrez suggested that a search could be done=
 on
'MRP Performance', but I haven't really found anything helpful there.
